Rentrak Corporation Appoints Bill Livek as CEO; Paul Rosenbaum Continues to Serve as Chairman of the Board

—Livek's Three Decades of Consumer and Media Research Expertise Will Enhance Rentrak's Ability to Meet Industry Demand for Deeper, Actionable Multi-Screen Media Viewing Knowledge—

PORTLAND, Ore., Jun 17, 2009 --

Rentrak Corporation (Nasdaq: RENT), a leader in multi-screen media measurement and research serving the entertainment, media and advertising industry, today announced the appointment of consumer and media research industry veteran Bill Livek as Chief Executive Officer, and as a director of the company.

Livek, who takes over the day-to-day management of Rentrak as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately, brings three decades of market research industry experience as well as a strong track record in vertical market collaboration with advertising agencies, brands and major media through executive positions held at companies including Experian Marketing Services and Simmons Research Bureau.

Livek will focus on growing and evolving Rentrak's business as a leading data and information analytics company into becoming a comprehensive knowledge provider to the media, advertising and entertainment industries. Paul Rosenbaum will continue to serve as Chairman of Rentrak's Board of Directors, having previously served in the role of both Chairman and CEO since September of 2000.

Most recently, Livek served in a number of roles at Experian including Co-president of Experian Research Services where he collaborated with customers to design and launch Experian's Addressable Advertising Service, as well as helping to expand the company's presence in China and Brazil. Previously, Livek was the co-Chair and Director of Simmons Market Research Bureau where he directed the growth and evolution of the company into a media-neutral, consumer centric research and data business widely utilized by brands, advertising agencies and media organizations. During his tenure at Simmons Market Research Bureau, Livek arranged the sale of the company to Experian.

Livek also co-developed Transactional Data Solutions with MasterCard, and served as President of Birch Research directing the integration of the company into Scarborough Research. As President and CEO of Scarborough Research, Livek grew the company to serve the top fifty markets. Earlier in his career, Livek served as Vice President of Sales/Marketing for Arbitron Radio.
